Cant even prescribe psych meds when your having major anxiety issues. Ridiculous!
I am so disgusted with this hospital. They took down my name, relation, and phone number to contact me if anything happens. My grandma fell in her hospital room, and I did not get a phone call until my own grandma called me hours later to let me know. Then they transfer her to another floor/room, and do not call me. My grandmother was confused, did not know what was going on, and had a little hissy fit. All of that could have been avoided if I had been called and was able to talk to her. I am beyond dissatisfied with UPMC McKeesport Hospital!
Unprofessional. I haven't met one person on staff that is nice whatsoever. If i could give 0 stars, i would. I would suggest driving further to another hospital rather than stepping foot in this one. I feel so disrespected. Never again.
Horrible and terrifying experience at this hospital. My wife laid 6 hours in Er without seeing a doctor because end of shift came and Dr in Er went home. I had to call the family doctor's office to find out what was wrong with my wife. She went almost 12 hours without treatment and almost died. She was in CCU for several days. They did save her life. But I'm thinking it would not have gotten so severe if they had treated her faster. The doctors in CCU were great but the nursing staff was horrible!!!! Loud and and unprofessional acting like little kids!! When the nurse removed her IV she dropped the bandage on the floor and picked it up and put it on my wife's wound. Also heard gun fire twice when going to visit my wife. And a friend heard gun fire when they visited also. Then the day she was discharged aide came in and told us there was a shooting nearby and to be careful leaving. I also had damage to my vehicle in the parking garage. We will never go back here again!!!! Maybe the ass hole CEO should put more money into cleaning, fixing and paying for better employees!! Or just close it and bulldoze it down!!!
Extremely slow with bad attitudes, from the management to the nursing staff. Never again will I be subjected to this poorly managed team of incompetence. UPMC McKeesport has out done even Braddock (upmc) in a jaw dropping experience. Hopefully this one is next to go on to the chopping block. UPMC should stick to teaching and dodging taxes instead of trying to run a business.
